
Two-component silicone potting gel
Description : JOMS 5707 is a two component silicone elastomer that crosslinks at room temperature by polyaddition reaction. The pueolymerisation can be accelerated by heat. When the Part A and Part B components are thoroughly mixed in a 1:1 ratio by weight or volume, the product cures in place to form a cushioning, elastomeric, resilient gelled material. The cured “soft elastomer” retains much of the stress relief of a very soft elastomer, while developing dimensional stability and non-flow characteristics similar to those of a solid elastomer. These unique properties are maintained at both high and low temperature extremes.

JOMS 5707 Dielectric Soft elastomer is ideally suited to protect and preserve the electrical
characteristics of many types of macro and
microelectronic devices, including hybrid circuits. Other special features of this product include:
• Fast room temperature cure
• Elastomer-like toughness
• Protection from moisture, dirt, and other atmospheric contaminants
• Protection from mechanical stress and strain
caused by thermomechanical shock and vibration
• Easy repairability
• Good dielectric properties, even at high frequencies
• No solvents or cure by-products
• Physical and electrical stability over a wide
temperature range from -40° to 200°C

Storage and Packaging
The JOMS 5707 A & B must be used within 12 months with respect to the manufacturing date.
To maintain optimal performance, it is recommended to strictly follow the following guidelines:
²Store the original packing tightly sealed and at a temperature below 30℃
² Use the product as soon as the packaging has been opened.
JOMS 5707 A & B is delivered in 5kg/5kg plastic cans and 10kg/10kg containers.
If needed special containers are available on request.
